‘Lalita’ is the name of my dear friend. She was the first friend I made during my post-graduate studies. Even though we took to each other almost immediately, we had our ups and downs in the next two years. We stayed in the same hostel and always had our meals together. With time, she has become a friend I cherish. We stay in different cities but are updated on each others’ lives. I had always admired her for her sense of responsibility and sacrifice towards her family. She is a grounded and a strong woman.
