C for "Ceylon Iron Wood"

Flower of Ceylon Ironwood
 Common Name: Ceylon Ironwood
Scientific Name: Mesua ferrea
Assamese Name: Naahor

The entrance stretch of the university where Deta (my father) worked, is lined by Ceylon Ironwood trees on the both sides. I have seen these trees almost everyday of the time we stayed in the university campus. The trees are a beauty in spring when new leaves, reddish and light green in colour, covers the whole tree. The flower is white in colour with a yellow centre.
